Happy Belated 4-Weeks

Max was four weeks old yesterday. I seem to have misplaced my camera, so to reflect on his four past amazing weeks of life, I thought I would share one of his first photos. I can't believe how much he has changed. For one thing he's not white as a ghost anymore, he's sporting an adorable double chin, and is losing his hair. I've mastered the baby comb over to hid the receding hairline. So, until I find my camera, here is a trip down memory lane... (I will post a more recent photo tonight when I find my camera)Now we see where Max gets his long fingers from :)

Taco Tuesday...and our nightly stroll

Being the fish taco lovers that we are, we went to our usual taco Tuesday hangout at Rubios (aww, we are so cute). Below is Max sleeping at the restaurant. His dinner consisted of the usual meal of milk -- he doesn't seem to mind.

After dinner we went on our nightly walk. And I of course had to document it. Hopefully Max will grow out of the huge earmuffs soon. His little neck is getting stronger everyday. I wonder if he will have a giraffe neck like his mom :)

Since I am home alone with Max during the day, I have to resort to taking pictures myself. Good thing my arms are long.

Pool Day

Max experienced the pool for the first time today. We went over to our friends the Rogers' house and spent some time pool side. Max got to dunk his feet in and then proceeded to sleep in the shade for most of the day; he only woke up for his feedings and to be held by Summer, Emma, and Joe.

Three Weeks Old

So what does a three-week-old baby do to celebrate the day...

When I grow up...

We always try and guess what sports Max will be good at when he grows up. Will it be hockey, volleyball, football, etc. Based on these photos, I think Max is leaning towards boxing :) His clenched fists make it seem like he is ready to fight. Don't let him fool you, he is a really sweet baby!

Ol' Blue Eyes

Chris and I bought Max an adorable hat at Market Night a few weeks ago. For all you non-Redlands'ers, Market Night is a Farmers Market we have in our downtown area each Thursday night. The hat looks like one Frank Sinatra would wear, only it is made out of straw. The hat is still too big, but I thought he looked precious anyways. The hat and the blue eyes (we'll see if they stay blue) are priceless.

90th Percentile

Max had a follow-up appointment with his pediatrician today. He gained almost a pound from last week (he's now 9 lbs. 3 oz.) and is 22 inches long which puts him in the 90th percentile. To keep up with his tradition, he also peed on the floor again. The boy likes to make a statement. Our little dude is growing fast and we love him so much.

2 Weeks Old

Max is two weeks old today. He is growing fast and had a double chin to prove it. The boy likes his milk.

Dad decided to take the day off work and we went to a botanical garden close to our house. Our outing was entertaining as we had to dodge several sprinklers that were watering the plants. Our stroller had to go off-roading a few times to avoid being drenched; Chris was an excellent driver. Our night ended with a walk around the block and Max hanging out in his swing.

I realized that the only photo I had of Chris, Max, and me was in the hospital when we were looking a bit haggard (labor and no sleep will do that to you). So, we took one yesterday. We still look a little tired here :)

Growing Fast

Max had his first Dr. appointment yesterday. He now weighs 8 lbs. 4 oz. The pediatrician was very pleased that he gained this much weight in only a week. Max also decided it would be funny to poop on mom when he was naked in the office and then pee on the floor.

After a morning bath, we ventured out to a park in Redlands today and went on a nice walk followed by lunch. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Broken Camera

I dropped my camera today and now it is not working. So, this picture is from a few days ago. Max on his changing table...he is very calm when he gets his diaper changed.

Hopefully I can get my camera fixed soon as I take a ton of pictures daily. I forgot to mention yesterday that Max was one week old. He has his first dr. appointment tomorrow.
