But for Max, it might be the next best thing. Tonight he had his first meal of rice cereal. The poor kid has been drinking breast milk and formula for almost 5 months. We thought tonight might be a good time to let the little guy live on the edge. He needs to work on keeping it in the mouth long enough to swallow. But other than that, he did pretty well.

Too Cool For School
Max had his second day of school (daycare) today--he seems to really enjoy it! His teachers are very sweet and he loves staring at all the other kids. He was exhausted last night and was pretty tired tonight as well. The first day went much better than I expected; mommy only got a little teary-eyed. Here are a few pictures from this morning....

Tongue Tied
Many of you know (because I've told you) that Max is tongue tied. The little skin below his tongue extends to the tip. Our Pediatrician says this is fine and we'll just keep an eye on it. The main concern was that it might effect his eating. By looking at him, clearly the boy is getting enough to eat. So we'll just keep an eye on it for now.
The reason I'm giving this background information is that Max has not been able to stick out his tongue....until a few days ago. Not sure how he figured it out. Here is one picture that I was able to capture.

Not By the Hair of My Chinny Chin Chin
Who needs those baby books that have the different textures when daddy has a beard. Max is infatuated with Chris' beard. Here is some fun we had this morning.
"Wake up daddy" (don't mind the sheet hanging in the background. We still need window coverings for our room :) )
Ahh, come to baby

Themed Thursdays - Mad Max
So I thought I would go with a theme tonight. All of these photos are of Max being mad. He's adorable even when upset.

Outgrowing Clothes
Max is growing so fast that he is fits into 9 -12 month sizes. I'm trying my best to get him in all his cute outfits before he grows out of them. Here is an adorable one from Grandma and Grandpa Hrusa.
Do They Make These For Adults?
Yes, I have seen them with my own eyes. Target now carries adult footed pajamas. I can't imagine Chris or I would looks as cute in them as Max does.

Walkin' Man
The walker was a great purchase. The little guy has been rolling through the entire house. This morning he made it from the kitchen to our bedroom.

Riding in Style
Max has a new car seat at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Max and Glowie ready to go to the mall.About 5 minutes into the ride. Max is out, but Glowie is still awake and smiling.

Late Night....
Thanks to a paper and me waiting until somewhat of the last minute to work on it. I keep telling myself, "Only a few more classes to go." Thank goodness because I have a serious case of senoritis. Max, take it from mommy, manage you time when it comes to the huge papers you'll have to write in the future.
Since I am at the point of deliriousness, I thought what the heck, I'll post some photos.
I always go to check on Max before I crawl into bed. Here's what I found tonight. He usually freaks out when he rolls on his tummy. That patch of hair still cracks me up.Friday, November 14, 2008
Max, You Are Amazing
This week you...
I love you,
Mommy
- Slept through the night for the first time.
- Visited mommy at work and took me out to lunch.
- Went to the motorcycle shop with daddy.
- Sat in a high chair at a restaurant.
- Startled daddy when you had the cord from the vacuum in your mouth. Good thing you don't have teeth.
- Had your onesie on backwards for most of the day (Daddy dressed you :) ).
- Tried sucking on V-dog's nose
I love you,
Mommy

Watch and Learn
Max finally has the hang of the walker and is using it to follow Chris around the house while he installs our new baseboards. He wants to be just like daddy!

Max You Are Amazing
This week you....
- Sat in the front of a shopping cart like a big boy.
- Slept in your new room for the first time.
- Rolled from your back, to your tummy, to your back again.
- Started somewhat holding your own bottle.
- Stayed all day with Grandma for the first time.
- Had your first non-breast milk/formula drink. It was diluted prune juice. You were having a hard time going number 2 :)
- Giggled continuously for an extended period of time.
- Rode in daddy's truck for the first time.
I love you more and more each day.
Love Mom
Back to Work
The day finally came, and a little too quickly I must add. I returned to work on Wednesday. Here is a picture of me before I left. We both look happy, but it is just a front :)
Chris is on leave for 2 weeks, so he and Max are having quality boy time. They've been to Home Depot, made a fire in the backyard fire pit, and watched the cable guy hook up our stuff. Much more manly then watching Oprah and going to Target with mommy. They are having a great time together.

New House
We moved in! Well kind of. Still have boxes in the garage, but for the most part we are pretty settled. Chris finished the tile and it looks awesome. Now it is time to pick paint colors. This will be difficult for someone an indecisive as me :)
Max enjoys looking at V-dog through the sliding glass door. V-dog is happy about his new living situation. His backyard rocks. Look at those pearly whites.
