Be My Valentine

Max and Sam went to their first Valentines party on Friday with my MOMS club. I made them little Valentine hearts and attached them to snack bags for their friends. Max didn't understand what we were celebrating, but he did have a blast playing at the park, eating cookies, and he even scored an open bag of Cheese-its some kid left in the sand. (Why is my child always the one to eat random food off the ground?)

Max with his Valentines.

After some sugar.
I love you brother.
But, we all know who Max's #1 woman is....

The Backpack is Back

Mowing the lawn with daddy.
Such a happy boy; well, unless he is crying :)

Clean Baby Smell

Glade needs to invent a plug-in scent called clean baby. Clean linen has nothing on the smell of my little guys after a bath.

First time bathing together.
He is such a sweetheart.
Max helping out. Poor Sammy!
These photos are going to be priceless in 20 years.
Look at Max's belly.

Big Boy Bed

We decided that it was the right time to say "goodbye" to the crib and "hello" to a new toddler bed. Chris put his handyman skills to work and built an adorable little bed for Max. He sized it perfectly so that his crib mattress would fit and then painted it fire engine red. Max thought it was really cool--until it was time to actually sleep in it.

Night 1: The first night we all sat in his room, read books, and then kissed him goodnight. He cried at the door for about 15-20 minutes and was sticking his little fingers underneath pleading for us to let him out. Sad and funny all at the same time. He eventually fell asleep on the floor. We put him back in his bed and about 2 hours later he woke up really upset. So, I brought a bunch of blankets in his room and he and I snuggled and slept on the floor.

Day 2: It was nap time, so we made our way to the dreaded bed. He cried for two minutes at the door and then went silent. I looked under the crack in the door and could see that he wasn't on the floor. He walked back to his bed...progress!!!!

Night 2: Did our bedtime routine and he cried at the door for a minute or 2. I heard snoring next to the door, so we knew he fell asleep. We put him in bed and he slept there until 7 a.m. Way to go Max.

Day 3: Slept on the floor next to the door.

Night 3: So far so good :)

On another note, Sammy has been such a wonderful sleeper. We really appreciate it Sam!
