Beautiful Weather

Means we can play outside!

Threes Company

The title of this post would best define our current sleeping arrangement. Max has decided that around 4 a.m. his bed will no longer suffice and he makes his way to ours. We are too tired to fight him, so i pull him up and plop him into the middle. Are we creating a monster????

A few other family updates...

  • Sammy is kicking butt at crawling and pulling himself up--he is usually standing up in his crib looking in the mirror when I walk in his room. He recently had his 9 month appointment and weighs a little over 18 pounds. He is pretty average on the charts, but totally above average to us. The little man is awesome.
  • Max is a ball of energy. The kid is covered in bumps, bruises, and scrapes. He is definitely all boy and is loving gymnastics, riding his scooter, playing hockey, and dancing. We are always on our toes with this little guy. He's being doing his business pretty consistently on the toilet, but insists on reading daddy's motorcycle magazines while he goes. No joke--he asked me to hold them for him. What a goof ball.
  • Chris and I are great. I recently had my first night away from both boys. Amazing is the best way to describe it. My girlfriends and I had a great time and I came back feeling fully recharged. Chris, being the wonderful dad he is, braved the San Diego Zoo by himself with the two little guys. He earned some major points with that one.
Everyday is something new and I am so lucky to have my boys!

Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband. I love you more and more each day.

I guess this is what being married to me will do to a man.

Camping...well, sorta

A few weekends ago we wanted to get outta town, so we ventured to a campground about 15 miles from Santa Barbara. We stayed in a cabin-like structure (hence the title of the post) in a beautiful campground . This was a great way to see how the boys would do on a short road trip (3 hours) and how they would sleep in a place other than their beds. They did great! We stopped at the beach, ate great Mexican food, bbq'd on our porch, walked V-dog, and even took a detour to into Solvang on the way home. The weather was great and the company was better.

Snack time in the truck.
V-dog would not stay in the back. I looked away for one minute and he had climbed over. Crazy dog!
View from the campground.
The place had a lot of animals.
Family shot minus the V-dog. He was taking the photo--JK he is to the left.
Happy baby.
At the Danish bakery in Solvang.
