When we go on walks....

I get to look at this adorable face. If you can't tell, Sam is in one of the little packs that sits on my chest. (Thanks to Liz for sending us this when we had Max)

An apple a day

Max has been on an apple kick. Be it an orange, nectarine, or peach, any round fruit is an
"App ul" to Max. He carries them around like he is hot stuff. I snagged a video of him today eating one. Normally, if you ask for a bite, he'll put it to your mouth. He is very good at sharing. Today, however, he was a bit more protective. Notice how upset he gets when he thinks I am taking it away.

It was a great day...

to go to the beach. My parents were staying in Pacific Beach, so the boys and I (minus daddy; someone has to bring home the bacon) ventured down. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. We did miss daddy though.

Beautiful day.
Max and Grandpa being silly.

Playing in the water.
Sammy and Mommy in the shade.
My little greasy child. Poor kid's hair always looks dirty:)
On the way home after about 2 minutes in the car.

Max at his finest

Here are some recent photos of big brother.

Big front teeth come in handy when eating watermelon.

Mommy's favorite fast food joint. Pure yummy goodness. Not a good way to try and lose baby weight.
Max at Child's Play, an indoor parent-assisted play facility about 10 minutes from our house. The owners are genius, especially since it is so dang hot here.
Out to dinner.

It is official...

Sam smiled! I wasn't able to digitally document it, but just take my word. I'll post photos as soon as I catch him mid-grin.

Overall, we had a great weekend. It is still incredibly hot here, so that limits some of the outdoor activities. But, we still managed to have fun.

Sam had his first bath in the big boy tub. I usually just bathe him on the sponge. And in typical Buscaglia boy fashion, he peed in the tub. (Following in his brother's footsteps.)

Chris and Max decided to put up the tent in the living room. We really want to go camping soon, so we are trying to introduce the tent to Max.
Somehow I think getting this guy to sleep in a tent might be a bit challenging.

This guy sleeps all the time. (Excluding the times I really want to sleep.)

Max thinks Daddy is so cool - so do I!

Little Man is 4-Weeks-Old

Time flies; especially when you have 2 kids. Sam is 4-weeks-old today. Can't imagine our family without him. We love you little guy.

They keep us on our toes

Not too long after these photos, both boys were screaming. Two kids under 15 months = learning to be patient, tuning out the noise, and mastering multi-tasking. So far, so good!

Our little boy is growing up

Hard to imagine that this was his car seat not too long ago...

Whales, Fish, and Elmo

We ventured to Sea World last weekend and had a fabulous time. The weather was great and Max had a blast. He particularly liked the Walrus and the aquarium - he also got to pet a sting ray. Sam relaxed in the stroller :). The day ended with a churro for mom and a picture with Elmo. Overall, a great day!

Max was really excited waiting in line, but a bit nervous when he actually met Elmo.

Enjoying his lunch and Shamu lunchpail.

Comparison

I took this picture of Sam a few days ago and remembered a similar one of Max. We decided that we don't think the boys look too much alike just yet.

Sam

Max. Sorry buddy, but you've definitely gotten cuter with age ;)

Two Weeks Old

And getting cuter by the day. We love you Sam!

Matchy Matchy

I promise I am not going to be one of those moms that dresses everyone in the family alike; but, I guess I happened to be in a green mood today.

Brothers.
Such a precious boy.
Staring contest.
My baby boy turned big brother.
Mommy and Sam.

Stickers

Being home all day with the boys is great. I'm trying to think of fun projects to do with Max so he doesn't get bored with me (and so I don't get bored either). On top of reading about 20 books a day, I decided to introduce the little guy to stickers. Each one of them entered his mouth before making their way to the paper.

Buscaglia Boys

This is what most of Sam's day consists of. I'm jealous :). If only he would do this all night long. In due time I suppose...
We took the boys to Tom's Farms this weekend. Here's Max in the petting zoo.
And on the carousel.

I just love them so much!

Playhouse

Chris is just about done with the boy's playhouse. He has done an amazing job and I know the kiddos are going to love it. I'll post more pictures once it is complete, but here are a few in the meantime. What a great daddy!
