Walking

I keep meaning to post a video of Max walking. I finally remembered today. Sorry for the loud background noise; we were watching a movie.

All Work and Some Play

Chris, Max, and I spent last week in San Diego for our annual work conference. It was a little tough with all the baby stuff we had to bring coupled with long work days, but we made the best of it. How can you go wrong with a beautiful hotel room over looking the bay? We had a great time and miss the cool weather. It has been 105 at our house the entire weekend!
Max had to go to daycare while we were there. He was one of the only babies, so he got a lot of attention. He specifically loved the ball pit. Don't know if they really wore him out, but the kid took a three hour nap one day and an almost four hour one the following day. We were amazed.

Playing in Daddy's suitcase.
View from our room. Max loved watching the helicopters fly over the water.
Waiting for the elevator.

Max's First Hair Cut

Although he doesn't have a lot, Max's hair was getting out of control. He had grown a full on baby mullet. We decided today was a great time for his first haircut. The girl did a wonderful job and he even got a certificate that says he has graduated from babyhood.

The barber shop has been in the Menifee area for some time. They had great toys and a train that rode around the room.
Getting ready for the cape.
He was really well-behaved and just ate animal crackers the whole time. She used scissors and clippers.
Finished product. Looking pretty sharp!

One More Thing

Max is walking! Pictures to come.....

Birthday Wishes From Buffalo

Max felt the birthday love all the way from Buffalo. A few days ago, he received a birthday package from Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Dave and got a real sweet card from Grandma and Grandpa Hrusa. Here he is opening his gifts. Reading his cards.
Thank you Grandma Cindy.
Loved the tissue paper.
Daddy wasn't in the room when I did this. :)

Happy Birthday Max

Max is in his bed snoring. Why is he so tired you ask? Well, TODAY IS HIS BIRTHDAY! Grandma Kelly had him for the day and boy was he spoiled. Here is his day in review.

Mommy and Daddy dropped him off at grandma's. (Unfortunately we had to go to work.) When we arrived, this was awaiting him.
He loved it!

Then he got to experience his first Happy Meal.

Took a little dip in the pool.

Had a few visitors (auntie Brooke stopped by).
Mommy and Daddy came home for his birthday cake (mommy made it).
He didn't like it :(. I guess he isn't into sweets.
He really didn't like it here!
It was a great day! We love you Max and are so thankful you were born a year ago today.
