Beautiful

Beautiful eyes, clean baby smell, doesn't get much better....

Lifted Truck

Lifted trucks are popular in our neck of the woods. Max decided to construct one of his own. Seriously, he did this all by himself! He cracks us up.

(Disclaimer: this picture was taken before we threw away Noochie. I am happy to report that he hasn't asked for it in 2 days :)

A tribute to a good friend

Last night, Max said goodbye to his Noochie for good. He was asked to throw all remaining Noochies away in the trash. I have to admit, i was a little emotional and even shed a few tears (Chris was emotional too). Watching my baby boy yell "no, no, no" and cry as he threw his long-time friend away broke my heart. So, this post is dedicated to you, Noochie.

You brought Max comfort as he lounged in the Rainforest Swing and watched Baby Einstein in our first home in Redlands.
You were there for Max's first Halloween and were the perfect accessory for his Pillsbury Doughboy costume.
There you are, sitting with Max as he opened 1st birthday cards sent from family in Buffalo.
Look, you even travelled to Buffalo!
Noochie, you look great paired with a pair of designer sunglasses.
What could be better than one of you, Noochie? The answer is two.
When you were lost in the living room, Max tried to replace you with toys... but, nothing compared to you.

So Noochie, AKA JuJu, AKA JuGee, AKA DoJee, you brought Max almost two years of pleasure, but it was time to go. A part of me will miss you because Max loved you so much. Goodbye.

P.S. Thanks goodness Sammy wants nothing to do with you. I don't think I could bear throwing away something my child loves so much again.

Cycles

I probably hear this word at least 20 times a day from Max (it is his word for motorcycle). He always wants to sit on daddy's cycle, he makes a noise and hand gesture (like he is pulling the throttle back) every time a cycle drives by, and he pretends to sit on his matchbox motorcycles like they are full-size. At least he knows the importance of safety...he insists on wearing a hat (his word for helmet) when he rides.

Other funny Max words and their meanings
"peeze" (please)
"peets" (peace)
"hungee" (hungry)
"ammy" (Sammy)
"eyes" (glasses)

Sammy isn't quite ready for a cycle, but he loves his red car. (Also, Sammy started crawling!!!)

For Grandma Jeanne

Hi Grandma Jeanne,

We know you haven't been feeling your best, so we thought you could use a good laugh. Laughter is the best medicine--right?!?! We think about you all the time and love you very much.

All our love,
The Buscaglia Fam
Chris, Cait, Max, Sam, and Vesuvius

P.S. Here is a picture of Max in the one-piece outfit you and Grandpa sent him.

Sammy Sunday

Easter 2010

Holidays are much more fun when you have kids!

So, we go to the Menifee Easter Egg Hunt and Max has the most fun rolling down a big grassy hill with Daddy.
Sammy driving his car. The kid hates the stroller, but is pretty comfortable in the red convertible.
Great Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell were there too. See, there's Grandma; grandpa was the photographer for the day. Thanks!!!!
Family Photo!
The eggs before the 1-2 year-olds hunted them all.
Max loading up his basket.
Well they didn't smile, but they also didn't cry.
